About Me

I have worked on kitchens, custom closets, wall units, you name it, and I have made it.

As a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience, I've crafted everything from kitchens to custom closets and beyond. My love for various wood types extends beyond my professional life, often drawing inspiration from craft fairs and the intricate beauty of woodcrafted items, including furniture, turned bowls, and restored antiques.
While my initial focus was on a different path, my passion for wood turning persisted since my school days. Life's demands temporarily shifted my attention, but a recent acquisition, the Poolewood 2000 lathe from England, rekindled my enthusiasm. With mentorship from a seasoned professional, I've delved back into the art of wood turning, finding joy in creating bowls, vases, pens, and decorative vessels. This powerful lathe now empowers me to produce high-quality work on substantial wooden pieces, merging craftsmanship with artistic expression.
The Lathe's Artistry

A Symphony of Flexibility and Precision

Discover the extraordinary flexibility of our lathe

As its left-pivoting engine allows me to seamlessly work from any angle—a distinct advantage, especially when handling substantial pieces. Operating at speeds of up to 3500 rpm, although often unnecessary, the machine performs with smoothness and quietude, an added bonus for other family members.

Beyond its technical capabilities, my joy extends to crafting unconventional items, particularly uniquely shaped vessels with distinctive curves, introducing an additional layer to the turned wood experience. This endeavor goes beyond a mere hobby; it's a profound calling, and I hope to convey the emotions I experience through the artistry of wood turning.
